Photographic Restoration Service
Most people will have at least one photograph in their collection that is damaged and in need of some attention. Perhaps you think the damage is beyond repair. That’s probably not the case for most photos. Photographic restoration can repair minor mends through to major makeovers. You will be amazed at the transformation. After all, wouldn’t you rather your treasured photo took pride of place in your family collection instead of being hidden away out of sight? If you are interested in having a treasured photograph restored then drop me a line using the contact form at the bottom of this page and I will discuss your options.
Please follow the link for further details and to receive instructions of how to send me your photo.
As each restoration is unique, your photograph will need to be assessed to establish the level of work required to ‘make good’. This can be done by sending me a scanned image of the photograph. At this point I can provide you with a quote.
Some photographs have minor damage to them by way of slight discolouration, small spots or scratches and can be restored in a fairly straight forward way by cloning, healing and simple colour correction. In the case of the blue pen marks these were removed using colour separation techniques.
Medium corrections include discolouration, mould, more notable fading, more prominent scratches and minor damage.
Advanced corrections include the correction of deep scratches, small missing parts, significant areas of mould damage and more advanced fading.
Specialist corrections cover major restorations and include the correction of large damaged and/or missing areas, object removal, extensive mould damage, major fading, and serious tears.
